Bokasso Cooperative

The Bokasso Cooperative is a member of the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. It is located in the Wonsho woreda (district) of the Sidama region, spanning four different kebeles (villages). Its main washing station is situated near the town of Yirgalem.
We first visited Bokasso in 2015 and were impressed by the level of engagement from both the farmers and the staff. Every visit since then has been met with a full room of members, staff, and board representatives, who ask questions about our work and our impressions of their coffee, and share their challenges and aspirations.
We purchased our first container of Bokasso's coffee in 2016 through Sidama Union and were impressed by the quality.
